The former Tainan Old Tainan Magistrate Residence is located in the eastern district of Tainan City, Taiwan, and is a historic landmark. In the past, the residence of the governor of Tainan Prefecture during the Japanese occupation period. After Tainan County was renamed Tainan, it continued to be used as a state official residence.

When the Japanese royal family came to Taiwan, the building was occasionally used as a "royal park" for the royal family to live in. In the twelfth year of Japan’s Taisho (1923), Emperor Hideyoshi of the Crown Prince lived here on the evening of April 20 during his tour of April 17-27. One of its aliases, the "clock tower," was that the bureaucrats used clocks for timekeeping, but there were also allegations that the original arc gables above the front entrance had a circular ornament, which was mistakenly thought by nearby residents as a clock. There is this alias.

There were many illegal constructions around the post-war period, which have now been dismantled and completed in recent years. After the refurbishment, the building was once idle. Later, in 2011, the concert hall was officially established. Later, in 2012, a restaurant was added.

After the renovation, it was officially opened on February 8, 2015.
